• Today, the official delivery of the Rodman 33 boat took place at the Shipyard in Moaña, Pontevedra. 
  • The new Rodman 33 patrol boat will set sail in the coming days for Muros (A Coruña), where her operational base will be located.

Rodman Polyships S.A.U., a shipyard of the Rodman Group specialising in the construction of all types of GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) vessels, has delivered the Rodman 33 patrol boat, built for the surveillance service of the State Tax Administration Agency.

The boat, named ‘Gavilán I’, will be based in the Muros bay in the province of A Coruña.

The new Rodman 33 is a coastal patrol boat, specially designed to carry out operational tasks in bays, river mouths and, in general, any area near the coast which may require her services. Built in GRP and composites, she will also be used to transport personnel by sea between nearby areas.

This new, more compact and functional boat will complement the rest of the fleet in the fight against illegal trafficking by sea.

All these tasks will be carried out with the utmost respect for the comfort and safety of the crew, which will consist of four people.

With a total length of 11.4 metres, this Patrol Boat model has been developed to perfectly combine high performance, reliability, construction quality and navigation characteristics in accordance with the specific requirements set out by the owner.

The boat is equipped with two Mercury four-stroke outboard engines, each with 350 HP, allowing them to reach a maximum speed of over 40 knots.

The Rodman 33 has been designed for a crew of four. With a range of over 150 nautical miles, she can operate with total effectiveness in the tasks for which she has been designed.

This new model has been developed according to the specific needs of the customer, as well as the various technical and construction quality requirements, optimising the safety and comfort of the crew and passengers on board.
